I do. For example, I enjoy going out with my colleagues once in a while. I'm even almost socially normal then. When we were in England for a few days we went into a pub every evening and that was extremely fun for me.

It's easy to destroy the whole atmosphere for me though. For example, one time when we were at the pub a few other people came in, including a woman who had the most annyoing laugh ever, and the evening was pretty much ruined for me. I also don't like it when people bring their friends or any people I don't know.

I enjoy playing pool. It gives my brain something to concentrate on and study while conversing. Plus, the conversation is limited and usually does not require eye contact.

I actually quite enjoyed going to an Iron Maiden concert last year, I guess I'm not your typical person with AS, because I quite like crowds. I would much rather be in a crowd than walking down an almost empty street or public place. When there are just a few strangers around people make eye contact with you, they look at you and I hate that. When you're in a crowd you blend in, you're just one of the crowd, and I love that. Nobody really pays any attention to you, nobody really looks at you or talks at you because they're all too busy watching something, or concentrating on where they're going, or full of anticipation. I like a constant buzz of noise, I can't stand silence. It's just sudden loud noises, like shrieking or screaming that I can't stand.

I have a friend who's very close to my age, and he was diagnosed with AS when he was 8. He's down the pub pretty much every night, and really loves that people accept him there, they find his quirks funny and entertaining, and he loves that. Though you could consider him to be quite extroverted, even though he has AS. There are as many different types of people with AS, as there are NT's.

I like social events where I know the people and I feel comfortable around them and the activity that we're doing is something that I feel comfortable with. If I'm not in my element though, I get nervous.

I like having some coffee or wine with one or two people I know well and talking about philosophy and such. I can't do it often, but once in a while it's nice. I don't mind family gatherings with immediate family (I only have one sibling), but, again, couldn't handle them if they were frequent.
