I was talking in therapy today, discussing how do I tolerate or handle people who go on about how shy my teen daughter is and they do this while she is in the room. If its not bad enough to know how shy one is and struggle daily, to be told it in earshot.

I was told that most adolescent teens are really loud. I had assumed till now that there was a least a balance of shy to loud teens, but maybe not and her shyness really is in the minority.

Thank god she's quiet, it's good to be quiet. Too many loud, annoying ones.

My brother is the loud one. I'm the quiet one.
Be glad people are doing it within earshot. It can be much worse when she hears people whispering what they REALLY think about her.
When you're the quiet one, you sneak up on a lot of conversations you shouldn't.
