Do any of you have a lot of trouble comprehending/remembering movies or books? I will reread a book maybe 5 times and finally be able to remember what happened. In a movie, I'm too busy remembering specific lines and trying to remember soundtrack lyrics so I can find them later. Even with books, I can read fluently but can't remember the plot.

Does anyone else have trouble with this, and is it an aspie thing?

I have the opposite problem. I never forget books, movies or tv shows. Its not like I can recall everything anytime but when I start watching a movie ive seen before I start remembering everything that happens.

My lifetime obsession with books might skewer my view, as I can never forget them. But movies are a different thing. I will not forget them, but I always read the synopsis first because I heve no clue about what is going on otherwise. Usually it has got to do with me misreading social stuff or just not paying attention because the information input of movies is s o s l o w.

Yes, I have central auditory processing disorder. I can only comprehend one thing at a time and I have to actively concentrate on doing that.
