I was surprised I did that well with the abstract art memory test but I was dismal with the other two.

Abstract art: 28/50 (well below average of 36)
Face recognition: 34/72 (abysmally below average of 56)
Word pairs: 25/25 (average is 13)

This result is consistent with my 45 years of life experience, where I have immense difficulty with "inexact matching" as well as face and image recognition, but a very easy time remembering numbers and words, which can be matched exactly and unambiguously. I do tend to either be extremely good or extremely bad at things; there's not much middle ground with me.

The face one bothered me though... because I was able to filter out in it. None of them had like, lines from age or anything of that nature, and in some of the guessings, I could just pick the one I thought might be the youngest (i.e. the one with no lines under his eyes). In a few they were put up against people with crooked noses and such, so I used that and figured I'd have a 50/50 shot with the 2 left. I didn't actually remember any of the faces though, lol, just used a specific feature of them to go by.

That's what I did. Works fine on a test, not so well in real life when there are multiple people with a similar distinctive feature.

I did pretty much as I expected, 46 paintings, 41 faces, 20 word pairs.

But I really liked some of those art samples and I wonder where one could get them.

haha, I suck, I got 32, 52 and 11.

the psychologist said my working memory's fine and I'm strong verbally so who knows what that means.

unmotivated maybe? I think my results pretty much reflect guessing.
