I haven't had much use for the Olympics this time around, so I really can't say. However, I have reacted strongly to certain films with emotional moments in them. My list includes: "Saving Private Ryan", "Schindler's List", and "As Good As It Gets", to name a few. The thing with "As Good As It Gets" is that I saw some of myself in the lead character. He wasn't a bad guy but lacked the ability to deal with certain situations so he sabotaged himself rather than having to deal with them. I have done that so many times over the years that I have lost count.
The other two films I mentioned were entirely too real. They depicted the true horrors of WWII. I was able to hold it together right until the end of "Saving Private Ryan". If you have ever seen the film then you know the scene I am talking about. It got to most of the people who saw it, so I think my response was a common one.
