Out of every person in my life that I know who has autism... most do things in a list and use it...
I don't know why but I always despised lists... it just feels like something else to seperate me from the rest of society whether ASD or not. The only time I really notice a list is when people do their shopping or have done a Christmas/Birthday wishlist.
Doesn't help when my mum said that if I did use them, I'd be further on.
Yeah... course I would Mum... when you had no idea how I was going to exceed your expectations by getting better GSCE results than you thought. Nothing would change much.

I don't do them obsessively, but I do find them occasionally useful due to my crappy short term memory and executive functioning issues. Sometimes it helps to put down on paper what needs to be done in what order. I can then go back through the list and edit it for maximum efficiency. I might do this a few times a year though, so it's not like it's an everyday occurrence.

I don't do lists either. Lists don't help me do anything. They harm more than they help. I like to keep eberrything in my head.

I also don't use lists. I find it much easier to just keep track of things in my head than take the time to write out a list

My husband doesn't use lists at all, and he seems to hate them. Me, on the other hand, I can't get through a day without one.

I only write things down that I need to communicate to others to avoid confusion.

I need to write my lists down because I can be flighty with my thinking. My brain races, and if I don't write something down, it's really like I never thought of it in the first place. Can you imagine writing a short story, novella or novella and not writing down the things you need to include in them as they pop up in your head? I take my hat off to those who can remember them. I sure can't.

I hate making lists. I'll do it once in a while for the grocery store but not for much else.

To Do lists, I used to make them but then I stopped.
1) Because they always included way more than I needed to do and were extremely specific
2) I pretty much only did them to get stuff out of my head - resulting in me more likely to forget
3) I have become more and more resistant to do stuff with my hands (such as writing things down) - not sure why

When it comes to other stuff though, like ideas, usually I will write them down or add them to a list I keep on my computer for future reference.

Sometimes I do lists, but I do not do them all the time. For example, I sometimes make a shopping list or other times not.

I don't usually do lists because that's not the way I do things...plus, I almost always forget to include something on a list. Though, there have been times when it has helped me to make a list for example, when I needed to remember certain topics that I needed to talk about, in one of my YouTube videos.

i do list's for setlists when i play guitar, purely because i need to take 10-15 songs and decide which ones to do for a 30 minute slot. i find it helps me make a decision and think logically and objectively about how long each song is, how many songs i can have, what order to play them in due to tuning, etc.

other than that list's arent something i enjoy.
