Anyone?

I get them once in a blue moon for a few days and they are ANNOYING. It feels like there is something crawling in between my skin tagged with an incurable itch in between the skin as well.

When I was a kid, on some nights right before I fell asleep I'd feel my whole body slowly transform into sponge material, the really porous kind you get in natural sponges.

It happened automatically, although not on a consistent basis. I used to try and make it happen but never could. I actually really enjoyed how it felt, it was almost as though I was going into a weird tactile trance.

That sounds like neuropathy you are speaking of. It can be caused by anything from diabetes, to injuries of the CNS (Central Nervous System) from blows to the head, electrocution and some viral or bacteria infections such as Lyme disease or Shingles. Also some autoimmune illness can cause it such as Celiac disease. If it lingers for any length of time consulting a doctor is advisable otherwise you can also try taking supplements of B-12 and Alpha Lipoic Acid which treat the symptoms of neuropathy. It does however take usually a month of the supplements before you notice any improvement. Hope that helps.

Are you sure it's not just an allergic reaction to something?

I had brief episodes of that earlier in my life, but I haven't experienced it in a long time now.

I've heard that said about restless leg syndrome. Is it in your legs?

i get this in my tongue (which is numb due to a crappy wisdom tooth extraction)... it feels a kin to your legs waking up from falling asleep... sharp and lingering though

do you have previous nerve damage in the area?
