Aspies - Seems I/We have More questions than Answers.
I was wondering in regards to my subjected statement, to all the things that don't make sense to me, to some of you, maybe this post won't make sense. Is this a normal Aspie thing?? These are my questions that I have in life, maybe some of you can help me answer them.
If there is supposed to be an order in life, why do Aspies exist, if we are the imperfect humans that have issues.
Example: How do we know that normal/abnormal is incorrect or correct, maybe the people that are considered normal or the ones that are wrong, yes I am indicating that we are the normal ones. I know this question will get answered that normal seems correct if the majority of human beings behave in a normal way, hence Aspies are the ones that are wrong.
Why do Aspies feel so different, in terms of thoughts, observing human behavior.
Example: I sometimes feel like I am viewing the world in 3rd person, but I am not really here, not to say I don't know what's going on, but can't figure out why it is going on. I don't understand why or how people choose religions. Just seems weird to choose and give a particular religion any credibility based on observation from watching them all, and to many religions to narrow down one to give any credibility to, not sure I am wording this right so people can understand, but how can people narrow down something, or select something that it is so many of. I will try to answer my own question, maybe people actually need to feel a connection with a higher being to feel self worth. I am actually theist, just not under any religion, I found God though the study of science, and figured to myself that there is only so much we can explain. Oh yeah, seems many Aspies believe in Human Evolution, I do, does this mean that Adam and Eve could have possibly been Neanderalthals/Monkeys, etc etc? Thats the bible confusing me again, you don't have to answer that last one, unless you want to.
Politics, much like religion, another topic I do not understand, seems life forces you to take sides, but I will have no part in it.
I have said this in another post, Republicians and Dems remind me of peanut butter and Jelly sandwiches, to make it simple, one of them likes ONLY peanut butter and the other ONLY likes jelly. Neither one of them are willing to try peanut butter and jelly, they don't see that both sides have weaknesses and strengths.
Odd things Human Beings do.
Using credit to me indicates that you can't afford it, like buying a Car/house. What happens if the person loses their Job, they get another Job right, what if they lose that one also? Not saying that if you get a loan and you have another income source besides a Job to pay for a house, if you do than that is perfect. But from what I see, most don't. but they buy these things anyway.
And the last weird question, sorry for my weirdness on this one.
Do you guys feel strange, as if, there is something, that we (Aspies) are supposed to be doing, like a purpose of why we are here?? Not like Neo, nothing that extreme, but the way we see the world, was this for a reason, besides what Doc said when he/she diagnoised us. This statement is from my docter: (Marked elevation on the Schizophrenia scale (SCZ; 70T) is due to his significantly high elevations on the Psychotic Experiences (SCZ-S; 97T) and Thought Disorder (SCZ-T; 75T) subscales. Elevations on the full scale can occur for numerous reasons, such as unusual beliefs, inefficiency, and disturbances in attention and concentration.) Ok, what bothers me is the unusual beliefs part, I never discussed with my Doc any of my beliefs, nor was this on the PAI test about any beliefs. Are we all insane, are is it just me, or is there something else going on that is not just a coincidence, please tell me I am not crazy and there some other Aspies that feel the same.
Again, sorry for my weirdness, I can't help it, it's my doctors fault.

Hi.
I'll make an attempt at giving my view-point on a few of your questions here.
Why only peanut butter or jelly? Well, I think it's because almond butter and jam are too expensive and abnormal for these people. And, it's not really that all republicans 100% support every republican's views or all democrats support every democrat's views. But, usually one side appeals to the person more than another, so they vote that way. They need to fight and say their side is the best or the other person will win.
If you are asking specifically why people don't ignore labels and just vote on the candidate that they like best...
Well, some people do this. But, if someone is in a party, they likely share similar beliefs to others in that party. So, it's usually safe for a democrat to vote democrat in any circumstance. And, it saves time; you don't have to know what each individual stands for.
It's very limiting the way politics are set up in the united states. Two parties are basically in control. The candidates have opposite views on some matters, but they generally think the same way and within the same little box. And, since these people train to manipulate people, basically, and are funded/wealthy, and well known, any "other" political party really doesn't get nearly as much TV time, etc.... Really, there are a lot of things that would need a dramatic change in order for this to no longer be the case.
As for your weird question...
I feel like I personally have a purpose. I feel like everyone has a purpose though, in a sense. When you don't belong and the path to your desires doesn't seem to be set out with prewritten directions like everyone else's path, I guess that can lead one to think about their purpose a little more...
Variety and unique perspectives can be good. Tying this into the normal/abnormal question...
We experience the world differently than bug, cats, whales, severely mentally ill people, etc, but we all experience life, just from different perspectives. When someone can see the world differently and share their views, they can open up other people's minds to a greater view of life. Some of these perspectives, of course, could drive humanity to extinction (whether they are the most widespread or not). So, it's not like all of these perspectives lead to equally positive outcomes, but they are still valuable.
So yeah, use your strengths I guess and do something you can do better than many others. *shrugs* Makes sense.
I hope I managed to at least somewhat understand your questions and give you relevant thoughts.
Says who?
Everyone has issues and everyone is imperfect.
Being normal and being correct are two different things. Being normal doesn't make you right or wrong and neither does being abnormal.
Example: I sometimes feel like I am viewing the world in 3rd person, but I am not really here, not to say I don't know what's going on, but can't figure out why it is going on. I think you'll find that most people at one time or another have that feeling of isolation. That there differences divide them from everyone else. It's true that some peoples differences are greater, their brains wired differently or their bodies built differently, so they are going to feel more of this "Outside looking in". As for religion you'll probably get a different answer from every person you ask about it. It's very personal and people are religious or not for a verity of reasons.
I have said this in another post, Republicians and Dems remind me of peanut butter and Jelly sandwiches, to make it simple, one of them likes ONLY peanut butter and the other ONLY likes jelly. Republicrats. Unfortunately that's the game and that's the rules. You don't have to play but you do have to live with the results.

Many people abuse credit. I try to avoid it but I'd rather pay my money to a mortgage then to rent. The trick is to make sure that what you're buying will at least last as long as you're paying on it. If you need a car to get to work you're going to have to get a loan from somewhere so if you take out a 5 year loan make sure the car has a good chance of lasting you 5 years. If during that time you can put away extra money and buy the next one out right then all the better.

Having unusual beliefs doesn't make you insane. I wouldn't worry about it too much. We all want to believe we're here for a purpose. Makes life seem a lot less meaningless. And who knows, maybe we are.

Thanks for the reply Jonny 23, I will respond to a few of your statements.
1.
If there is supposed to be an order in life.
Just letting you know, I have no idea if there is an order or not, religion seems to indicate so.
2.
Being normal and being correct are two different things. Being normal doesn't make you right or wrong and neither does being abnormal.
Well, I made this statement for the fact that it seems that allot of Aspies are either like myself or Atheist, why that is, I have no idea.
I agree with the rest, but I would rather buy a car and just pay cash for it then using credit. Credit is a setup, just like credit cards, they are all waiting for us to slip up one time, after that there is someone named Scott Roberts from the collections agency harrassing you at 6am in the morning, speaking from experience, dam that Scott Roberts.
I agree, paying cash is better in my opinion. But sometime you must borrow for the necessities if you're current saving doesn't cover it. For instance. I can't save enough money to buy a house outright when I'm also paying rent and if I could It might take me 20 years and I'd still be paying rent (money down the drain) for the 20 years. Borrowing money gets me in my own house now and although I am paying the bank for that privilege I get to enjoy my house 20 years earlier and some of my money is going into equity.
Also if I borrow to start a business I get to start making money sooner. If I borrow for a car I can get to work and make money (where I live you have to have a car to go anywhere). Yes it's better to pay cash for a car most of the time but where did that money come from? If you can walk to work then great but if you have to drive then you're probably going to need a loan.
If you are worried that you can't hold a job then it's irresponsible to take out a loan that you believe you cannot pay back and you will have issues with creditors. And even if you believe you will be able to pay it back something might happen and you cannot. Life is a gamble in that way and nothing is certain.
If you can get by paying cash for everything then by all means. I've done it most of my life until recently I got a house loan. I pay less on my mortgage then I did on rent and it will be mine in the end.

You could be right, I just try not to get caught up is what is "supposed" to be. It's a disappointing road because things are rarely how we think they are supposed to be.
