Do you ever feel tempted to use someone elses words(from a movie, other people or whatever) even if it's in a situation where no one could possibly know you are doing it(or even notice the difference in your speaking)? I'm not neccisarily singling out "unusal" expressions, but just day to day stuff?
I can't think of a good example(I can't make it happen, it just does). I'll try to make one up: if there is a character on tv that says: "i must proceed to the school!" I might be tempted to use that expression when I am explaining that I am going to school. No one would know I am using their words and it's not a memorable quote, but maybe if feels safer to recycle their words? It feels weird even thinking about it, cause if it happens, it's basically automatic.
Is that like echolalia or something? Maybe I spend too much time inside my head "playing back" stuff I've heard or seen...so much so that I have few "original words" left.
Oh yea, also another wierd thing. It's sort of light, but I tend to imitate the person I'm talking to's accent.... :S
