Are you familiar with this? Are your interests rational, logical.. or are they just something you incidentally discovered?

Please explain

I did not understand. How an interest can be ''logical''?

It is the best thing to do. If you consider how everything is. That it is just "best".

I don't know if mine is rational or not. I'm obsessed with a bus company, maybe it is illogical because people are like, ''what's so good about a few bus-drivers that drive your bus? It's not like they are famous or anything!''

But then again, what's so great about famous people? At least I get to talk to these bus-drivers and they know I exist.

IDK if anthro Cars are a rational interest, but that's one of my main interests.

Then I choose pragmatism as my perspective. Because I define ''the best'' in that way.

Memorizing country flags... drawing Djibouti's flag helps no one. Playing video games for hours gives me nothing other than feeling joyful. Gathering data about WW II... no benefits at all. Guitar playing... well it helps to develop coordination. Russian classic literature... I learn social behavior from it, I presume.

My interests are anything but rational, especially given how wishy-washy my feelings about them are.

Why am I so obsessed with specific movies that Johnny Depp and Tim Burton worked on together? Why am I not obsessed with the works that one did without the other, like Pirates of the Caribbean or Nightmare Before Christmas? Why did I become so fixated on these two celebrities when I swore to myself as a child that I would never like anything that was too popular, much less a man (Johnny Depp) that everyone thought was sexy?

And what about my obsession with My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic? Again, why did I become obsessed with something that was popular when I swore that it'd never happen? Why do I spend hours on Tumblr reblogging pictures of ponies? Why have I amassed a huge collection of My Little Pony toys of every shape, size and color? Why does my heart fill with such pure, unfiltered joy whenever I hear this song (click), even though it's in a language I don't understand and it's about a children's cartoon?
