I found this interesting test. I gave it my very best shot, using all my tricks I've learned over the years (always has a problem with faces - even failed to recognize my own mother as a child... one time she had come to pick me up after a day at my grandmother's and she had new, different glasses on)

Results

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Out of 20 target faces (ones you studied in the first part of this test), you correctly identified 13.
Out of 30 nontarget faces (ones that didn't study in the first part of this test), you correctly responded that you had not seen 22 of them.

Overall, you got 70% correct
The average person with normal face recognition scores about 85% on this test. If you scored less than 75% on this test, this may indicate face recognition difficulties.

***Please note that a low score on this test does not necessarily mean you have problems with face recognition. Similarly, a high score does not necessarily mean you do not have face recognition difficulties.***

This one was hard. And, for some reason, they don't give you results. Weird...

GOD, I was SHOCKED!

Results

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Out of 30 faces, you correctly identified 24.
You were familiar with 30 of the people in this test.

If we exclude the ones you were unfamiliar with, you got 80% correct.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On our previous version of this test, the average person with normal face recognition was able to recognize about 85% of the faces they were familiar with. If you missed more than half of the faces you were familiar with, this may indicate face recognition difficulties.

For more information about face blindness and other face recognition difficulties, please go to www.faceblind.org.

And I probably got 90% right(When there was a doubt, I said NO). Then again, one I didn't THINK I knew, but I had a SENSE it was someone very famous, and was shocked to see his name, so I said it was correct.

There HAVE been a lot of times I haven't been good AT ALL with faces, and these WERE all very famous and I figure 3-4 were vague(too many possible), and 1 was low quality. The rest I really have no excuse for. 8-(

I didnt like that we had all the time in the world. My difficulties come up when i have to stop and think of where i know the face from, then struggle to attach a name to it.

I got 70% too! When I was doing it, I honestly thought that I was doing awfully. Surprising!

Hahahaha I didn't even go near the famous faces one because it was only until I turned 15 when I knew who Tom Cruise was. I know a grand total of about four actors. I just don't seem to absorb the names of actors, and especially not their faces.

Out of 20 target faces (ones you studied in the first part of this test), you correctly identified 16.
Out of 30 nontarget faces (ones that didn't study in the first part of this test), you correctly responded that you had not seen 29 of them.

Overall, you got 90% correct.

Wow, I was surprised. To be honest, I was guessing on about half of them. I didn't touch the celebrities one because I don't pay attention to that sort of thing.

98% on famous, 100% if you consider that I didn't consider Tony Blair someone I knew.
Sorry, but I generally see his name in stories, I don't see photos of him. Margaret Thatcher and Princess Di are another story!

I always have more trouble seeing faces when there are other distractions taking place. Many times I have been in public places such as a grocery store, sports arena, or just walking down the street, and I have walked right past friends without recognizing them. It is hard to explain that to people who expect you to acknowledge them as friends when you see them. I know some people I care about have thought me strange because of that. I suppose they are right. Ha ha.

On the first one, they said below 50% meant may indicate difficulties. So, borderline for me.

I have no idea what to make of this.

I took the famous faces test early this last summer. I can't take it again 'cause I remember the answers too well. But at the time I got 100% correct, 28/28, and wasn't familiar with Tony Blair and Condoleeza Rice.

I'm shocked it was that high!
