I don't have aspergers, but I do have many of the traits and I seem to be one of those unfortunate individuals with no empathy at all and painful shyness. I sucks! Are there any ways that people like us can learn and develop empathy like normal people have? Or are there perhaps any supplements (pills) that anyone knows of that may aid in the development of empathy and losing my shyness. I always imagine myself walking up to someone and starting a conversation with them and getting to know them in my head, but I know it's never going to happen in real life :(

Quite. They have empathy with those they consider 'normal'. Anything outside that they at best ignore and at worst actively dislike.

You can't change who you are, but you can learn to use it to your advantage - in an emergency who do you want.. they guy who's running around like a headless chicken
showing 'empathy' or the guy who picks up the fire extinguisher and solves the problem?
