I only post under Tequila. I swear on the half-full cup of coffee I'm drinking now that this is true.

Same here.
(I do however, reserve the right to type these pithy statements while wearing a sock puppet on my hand.)

Unless your arguments are frequently so weak you need a sock puppet to back you up why would anyone need more than one account?

Nah no evidence hes SPing and I could really care less if he is :P

Seems to me like only paranoid people would really care if the same person is posting under multiple names.

Not that I care but I claim the 'paranoid' slur with pride.

It's called having "sockpuppet" accounts, where under one name, someone might say....

"Oh, yeah, well I think THIS."

And then that same person would sign off, and sign back on under a different name and post....

"I most certainly agree."

It's a way of building false consensus online. Some other boards I go to list "sockpuppetry" as a reason for banning, and I pretty much agree.

"And so do I." :D

I posted under a different name a handful of times for privacy purposes... I didn't ask permission though . But it is just 1 other name and maybe 6 posts, which pales in comparison to my mighty postcount.

I only post under one name. I'm too lazy to make a sockpuppet.

I only post under this name on WP - although I have a different name on another forum. I think the way a person types or their obsession if they were AS would reveal them after awhile. Although I know they accuse some curebies of doing this on some blogs - creating different user names to show support for their outrageous statements. But then some of their ideas and name calling tend to be extreme so if someone was really not way out there why would they feel the need to have imaginary sock puppet friends for support.

I am comfortable enough in my own opinions, so I don't need some alias backing me up. Sockpuppeters suck.
