My BF had AS, but the one thing I like is he is horrible at lying and I can always catch him lol. I wonder if any of you can lie well? I can't really because my morality shows and I end up telling the truth. I rarely lie since I can be caught too.

Sometimes I lie, but very often I get caught so most of the time I don't, but when I'm under stress or when I'm confused or something, sometimes people thought that I lie, even when I where telling the truth! 8O

Not me, I'm a terrible liar. I have enough trouble keeping facts straight in my head, much less fibs.

I HATE lying. I can do it at times, but it kills me inside. The truth is far easier to deal with than trying to keep your lies straight. About the only type of lie that is simple is when you are asked an opinion on a matter of style and say something nice to save that person's feelings. Even then, it isn't always easy.

I have the opposite problem -- people seem to think I'm lying no matter what I tell them. Even people who've never met me seem to disbelieve what I tell them.

What's worse is that they still seem to believe that I'm dishonest even after I've been proven right.

I'm a terrible liar. I've even tried before, and I just can't do it...out blurts the truth. It's actually annoying. :x

I believe that I am a good liar. I suppose you would have to ask people I have lied to to verify that though.

This skill (?) is a product of a lifetime of hiding my problems from family. It also was a sort of game I would play. If I was a different person with different experiences, then this <untrue statement> could be true. So I would lie to gauge reaction. Lie to see if the lie would be believed. I quickly learned that plausibility is a key component of a good lie. Lie about things that people may interpret as an embarrassing admission. Lie by omission. Lie when it makes no difference. Never lie to boast or to make myself look superior, only lie to change the story, change the perception. It was fun.

I have been trying to stop doing this in recent years. It helps nothing and is no longer entertaining to me. It has lead to difficult conversations where I have had to admit past untruths for specific purpose.

I hate lying an I suck at it too. Sure I could go and easily tell strangers my parents died in a car accident and they would believe me because they would never see me again and I think people falling for my April fools jokes would prove I can be good at lying. Plus I would feel too guilty for lying so I don't do it. some people also think I am lying when I am not.

I have been told that I am a very difficult person to read. That being said, I probably can get away with a few lies here and there. I usually don't lie.

Yes.

This is the liar's paradox. Is my answer a lie?

I can say things, which sound ridiculous to me, with a straight face, be taken literally.

Doesn't seem natural, to me.

I am a terrible liar. Cannot even say a word if I try to.
Despite that I have been told that I intentionally twist words around to give people false impressions of others and make them seem like I am a victim and they are bad people. Which is very much untrue - I am too honest for my own good to a point where I was told I should lie in interviews if I ever expected to get a job and I like to clarify everything.

One thing I can do is "technicality." Which is taking something so literally, you can avoid answering stuff. Alternately, you can just leave something out, only say part of it, or dodge it all completely.
