So since my brother is sick my mom had me come run airends with her. Of course today was one very hot day. And probaly the last one for this year. The bees were out everywhere. I have a fear of bees. I hate insects normally since there small and crawl all around I just hate them. But insects that can hurt me I freak out over.

We drove up and saw a man seating at the air and my mom said oh there must be a bee hive in the cart return. So we parked far from there. I got out and walked to my mom and we started to walk to the grocery store and then my mom said run now. I looked down and there were two wasps on my shirt and 5 around me. I ran like ****. I ran as fast as I could and around in circles to make sure they couldn't follow. I then stopped and started to look around on my body to make sure there weren't any bees on me. As I was doing that a yellow jacket landed on the ground in front of me and crawled on my shoe. I kicked it and ran inside. I ran behind a few walls and sat down and start to rock. My heart was really racing and I thought I would have a meltdown at that moment. I kept running my hands through my body checking for bees. Shaking my head to get them off. I stayed there for a few minutes had a worker ask if I was ok. I didn't respond for a few second but then looked up and said yeah like nothing had happened. He said my mom is looking for me so I went there and she asked where I went. My heart was racing through the entire store but there were no more incidents in the store. We then went to the post office and nothing there. So my mom asked if I wanted a bagel at Dunkin doughnuts I obviously said yeah so I went in and ordered but then I saw two wasps or hornets INSIDE DD. I was pale and I grabbed my bagel and ran out the first door but there was a second and I looked up and I was literally about to put my hand on a wasp. I jumped and ran back inside. They asked what was wrong and I said oh there's a bee and I am allergic (I am actually not but I us that all the time so I don't look like as much of a freak. So he woman working there kicks the door open and it flys out. I jet out and jump in the car.

When we got home I laid on my bed and freaked out. I was crying and I was a mess. Luckily no one knew. Later my mom said she was going to make something on the grill. I jumped out of my chair and yelled don't open the door. There is a bee hive in the light out there. So she ignores me and goes out and I run to my room and close my door. Later she got stung :P told you.

I am just so scared of bees and I was really jumpy for the rest of the day. I have had so many meltdowns because of bees but I have only been stung about 3 times. Once when I was a baby. Then when I was on the pourch one came and stung my foot and then one flew into the car and I put my arm on it and it stung me.

I have not been stung in 3 years and hope to go for a lot longer. I am excited about the coming of winter since there are no bees.

One more thing I don't understand. I am scared to death of bees but I went in on porpoise to pet some wolves and get my picture taken. My mom says " your scared of a bee when you could have been eaten by wolves.

Anyway that is it. I have calmed down now and felt I wanted to post this.

That's understandable to have a fear of bees I would be scared too I remember getting stung twice when I was playing outside as a child. Once when I put my hand on the grass another because I tried to pick one off a flower.
I would prefer a wolf to a bee any day and I've never heard of a Wolf eating a person.

I am a little scared of bees stinging me, because bee strings are really painful, but I am moar scared of wolves eating me, entrails! entrails! and I am eggstremely afraid of bears coming after me. Bears skeeer me so much. And I also fear snakes and legless lizards. I am afraid eggswell of worms. I have a phobia. I want to rocket up into the sky to fly to pristine outer space regions whenever I see a worm twitching on the sidewalk.

if you stay calm bees will leave you alone for the most part.

I do remember this one time I was flipping over rocks to find bugs and stuff to look at and I flipped over a big rock and it had a massive beehive under it. I never ran so fast in my life didn't even get stung. I did go back and hour later and got really close to look at the hive.

I used to be terrified of them but have learned how to deal with them as an adult. Where I live, wasps are a constant nuisance in the summertime and make nests everywhere. If a bee lands on em now, I know not to touch it and stay still. As for wasps, I am ever vigilant about them and kill the nests at night when they are dormant. The one thing that does scare me though are yellow jackets. Where I live, they nest in the ground and a lawnmower will piss off the whole hive and make it chase you a long ways. I see them from time to time in my back yard, but have yet to find a nest. With all of the abandoned properties in my neighborhood though, I imagine one of those houses has a nest and I am afraid the next one will be built in my yard during one of my periods of depression when I can't mow it.

I have claustrophobia, very bad and of course I also kind of think that my fear is rational, I once got locked away against my will. So things like this CAN happen.
But other people don't have claustrophobia and can deal with situations I couldn't.

I also got stug by bees. Actually it was two times bees and once a wesp. The first time I got stug by bees, the doctor toled me that I'm a bit allergic to them, but not that bad bad allergic, just that I have to be carefull and watch the stich when they do.

But I'm still not really scared.
I could be, telling myself that they stug me more than once and that I'm allergic, and the allergy could get very serious one thay.
Well that's possible, a lot of things are possible, but is it really necessary to think about them the entire them and life in fear?

I just pour a little gas in the hole it clears the problem right up for ground nest

Unless you don't see it until they are swarming you!

Specific phobias allways seem to be a bit rational to the person who has it...!

But there are not.

I just remember
Fresh cut onion slices onto a sting works wonder.

Bees wasps hornets and similar are potentially dangerous animals so I think it is good to have a little respect
or even fear when there are lots of them.

And some people even die from a sting because they'll go anaphylactic.

I don't have any real phobia, luckily...

I also had a phobia of bees/wasps at one point. I wouldn't go out into my garden at all and whenever I saw a bee or a wasp or even heard a buzz I felt inclined to run inside or away. I eventually got over this phobia with the help of counseling. I still have a minor fear of them but I don't have to run way just at the sight or sound of them anymore.

Rational? My fear of deep water(anything over ten feet where I can't see the bottom) seems totally irrational to me.
Especially because it's not so bad when I'm with a group of people.
I don't wish that there weren't murky water, I just wish I weren't afraid of it. I hope to try to desensitize myself to it this upcoming summer, ideally without inducing any panic attacks.

Bees are not bad and slightly annoying when they buzz around me. They usually fly away in a few seconds. What I REALLY hate are Wasps or Black bumble bees, especially large aggressive ones that follow you around.

Most phobias are stem from things that it's rational to be afraid of. The most common category of fears is of insects and the most common insect to be afraid of is spiders. It is rational because some spiders are poisonous, insects can bite, sting, poison ect. It is the extent of fear and avoidance that is irrational in people with phobias. Bees do sting but they won't kill you and rearranging your life to avoid them would be irrational, for example.

My sister is terrified of bees....she got stung by one on her bare foot (she stepped on it) as a toddler. I (a couple years older) thought I was being helpful and while my aunt and my mum were gently trying to coax the stinger out I ran by and yanked it out - probably made her pain way worse  I was only 4 years old. To a lesser extent she's afraid of all insects. She would scream and crawl up on her bed when she saw an insect in the house ( even as an adult -when she lived at home) and either my mom or I would come and kill it for her.
