Yesterday was a beautiful day. The sun was shining and my barometer read 1008 hPa. I felt very energetic: cleaned the house, worked in the garden and did some (house)painting.

Today is rainy and dreary, the barometer has dropped to 968 hPa and I've been lethargic and mildy depressed all day.

I've noticed that I can almost predict my mood and level of energy by the barometer. I also react strongly to approaching thunderstorms (a kind of 'tingly' feeling I can't quite describe) and approaching snow (a dull headache).

I wondered if this has anything to do with AS oversensitivity? Has anyone else got the same or a similar reaction to the weather?

I do, but I also get migraines with the changing barometric pressure. I don't know what is what.

When I lived in the Pacific Northwest I would get headaches and sinus problems when a low pressure system moved in, which was often. I don't seem to have that so much here in Hawaii where the pressure is a little more consistent.

With a sudden or dramatic change of barometric pressure during the course of a day, the back of my eyes feel strange, as if my eyes are going to be pushed out. I also develop sinus problems and joint aches (different from my RA) in such situations.

Yes, I can feel the changes in the air.

Common among NT's and AS.

Possibly an evolutionary relic as many other animals tend to be able to detect weather by the atmospheric pressure.

I am sensitive to many things, including this!

Funny, I was just thinking about this last week when the weather changed to rain, doom and gloom all of a sudden, and I fell into an awful mood myself for no logical reason whatsoever

I'm very much sensible to air pressure, to humidity as well... I've got inflamation issues in those situations... I think AS tend to have joints problems?

A lot of people have these kinds of things happen with atmospheric changes, it's mostly phsyiological.
