I think life is good for me at the mo.

I have recently - and I am 46, opened up at work as being gay, my pub friends know and have done for a while, and they just dont mind which way I swing.

Apparently I am a bit shocking upon first meet, but when people get to know me they learn to like me better.

Saturday night I went out with a few friends and a bloke that hates queers, and basically hates me totally. There was an ex wrestler there who looked out for me. And lets not forget I ordered the taxi at the end of the night to get us all home again. The wrestler paid my taxi home.

I went to this pub, there was a band Isaak Hunt, at one point amongst my dancing I took off my top to reveal "Don't get het(erosexual) up!! !", and then on the back "Relax and be gay, Love is good". This was a bikers pub.

At some point I went to the loo, and one of the staff said he loved my dancing. He looked like a biker.

Also in the night the lead singer was absorbing the night going on and got me to sing a line or two - I am not a singer - so God knows what I sounded like. He just put the mic in front of me.

The bloke that arranged this outing is a bisexual - he has grown up kids, but he knows how to work the social system - he is a driving instructor, but he was the one that got me socially acceptable to people and for him - it was my dancing that did that.

Life is not so bad, I have 3 str8 lodgers, and 3 properties I let out, and the tiniest of houses in Tuscany that is just for me. But the people there are lovely - they know I am mentally different but they just embrace life.

I love work.

Life is good.

Sex is overrated although most people in their proverbial herd mentality consider it the most important thing in life even in spite of their own personal experience, therefore abstinence is probably the best choice a person can make. The best an individual can do with their alleged need for sex is to overcome it.
