I have autism and remained in debt for years. I got out of debt and for the first time in years I have money. I plan money and bills ahead 5 years in the future. Now lets say I have £1600 left at end of the year, I panic if it drops below that I start to panic. Say next year I have a set amount remaining, if that drops I need to rework all figures to get it back or I tend to feel stressed and to scared to spend money incase it drops. Any ideas

Having a budget and financial goals works well for me. That way, I know what I can spend on what, without (hopefully) ever be caught in a financial mess.

Besides my regular bills, I reserve money for things I know I'm going to need in the future, like clothes, household appliances and renovations of my house. I work out how much I need for each of these categories, so while my savings account is one lump sum, I know how much of that is for what category.

Does that make sense? It's rather difficult for me to explain financial planning without going into great detail.

Money is something I definitely just can't handle too well. My mom handles most things. I just have enough to buy my books, and I'm fine. Otherwise, I'd spent it all in no time.
