Family, frenemies, acquaintances or other negative people you're required to constantly suffer. Would your confidence improve, would you try to do things they were always talking you out of, or would you have even more difficulty functioning, since maybe the jerks were housemates and you might suddenly have to pay 4 or 5 times the amount of rent you were paying? Personally I would find it a major derail of routine and probably miss some of their more pleasant attributes. Hmm maybe if there was a way they would still be here but they were reprogrammed with a 'nice' chip.

I am fortunate since I have none to deal with at the present time. The last "friend" of mine who repeatedly treated me like crap (and was the first person to think I was autistic, but I couldn't hear it from him because of how he was), I stopped talking to 7 years ago. It took me a while to recover but I was able to move ahead in life without all of the constant negative talk driving my self esteem into the toilet. My problem today is that I am not in a situation where I can meet people my own age or who share my interests. I'm also afraid to go into new situations alone, so I mostly just spend time by myself.

If all jerks were to vanish from my life, my grand niece would require a new parent.

I dunno, I never involve myself with jerks, so it wouldn't affect me much.

i'd have the fear at the back of my head, that my inner jerk would emerge unfettered by the greater environmental jerkiness which heretofore overshadowed it.

I tend to just disappear from everyone its my way of coping with the situation at the time I get to and change my mobile number, block the person who is causing the issue, I even move, whether its a person who has pretended to be my friend and forces me to get involved in their person issues when I do not want to be involved and they cause drama and trouble all the time and they have baggage and use me, too being dragged into friends fights and disagreements and friends fighting to see if I would take sides with them which I will not. I won't take sides with anyone. I rather watch Star Wars, Star Trek or Sydney Roosters Nrl team play against Melbourne Storm. I just disappear and goto my comfort zone which is my room and stay there for days without coming out I don't even answer my mobile phone to my family who end up coming over my place very concerned to see if I am alright.

If ALL the jerks from my life were to vanish? The world would be a much quieter, more peaceful place to be.

There's a few people what I would call ''jerks'' that I could do better with not having in my life.

I'd say..... "EXACTLY as planned." And then I'd have only my best allies with me, and we'd celebrate.

If the jerks in my life were to vanish, it'd feel good, of course. I sure wouldn't miss them. I wouldn't have to 'brace for impact' around certain types. They're a pain, good riddance

Would your confidence improve

Real confidence comes from your own thoughts and acceptance, not from the praise or criticism from others. No. But it would make my life easier in some aspects, if I didn't have to wait for another 'attack'.

I don't allow anyone to talk me out of something I really want. I am very strong willed and stubborn. If anything, them attempting to talk me out of it, might make me compelled to do it.

My father can be a real jerk, but life is still more stable with him around than it would be without him, so I don't want him to vanish. Plus, it'd hurt my mom.
All the other jerks that are or have been in my life though, can be spaced for all i care.
