I've suspected since my early 20s, that I'm "partly autistic". (That was my term back then. I could see it in myself.) Recently I said something where my therapist asked me "Have you ever been evaluated for autism?"

He didn't even remember once having tried a word association test with me, and me only being able to come up with mental images in response to each word he said.

When I told my doctor what the therapist suggested, the doctor said "Good catch", and pointed me towards an Asperger's association in the area.

They pointed me towards what turned out to be a clinic at Mass. General Hospital, the Lurie Center for Autism.

I don't go to Boston.

I'd never survive trying to drive there, don't know the area at all, and would possibly have a melt down if I got lost (which I likely would).

Does anyone know of a doctor near Lahey Clinic, in the Boston suburbs, who might be able to "evaluate" or diagnose me?

Believe it or not, it seems Lahey itself doesn't seem to have anyone.

I need some help here.

Thank you.

Why not just go around Boston using the T instead of trying to drive - drive to Alewife, get on the redline, and take the redline to Charles/MGH (so you wouldn't even need to transfer T lines), and that's a stop specifically for Mass General Hospital, its in the T stop's name.

And Alewife is way out, not bad to drive to (According to everyone I know who drives)

The person who diagnosed me is out in Worcester, but he charges a lot if your insurance doesn't cover it.
