I wonder if NTs muse about things the way do...
They are thoughts that pop up like that and they make no sense...it is kind of analysing of human behaviour, or wondering about this or that...Like today...I sat in a restaurant and I looked at people the way they sit on there chairs-askew, hanging, one leg up, one bum next to the chair...kids and adults. So, I thought this: Do we realise we don't feel pain sitting, becaus of the fat, the glutons that make surfaczes fost for us, imagine if it was all har and muscel would we feel uncomfortable?

Or: It is amazing how people let themselves be led and fed by fashion dictates...here in South America you simply have cropped hair for boys and long hair for women. Earrings for girls when they are barely a month old...

In the past I thought things like when I saw a blender in a juice shop and I wondered what it would be like if one got his had stuck in it..

Tell me, are any among you who have strange trains of thoughts?

Close to every waking hour. I'll look at a new car driving down the road and think about the ignition system and all the types there are.......... and so on. I'll listen to the radio and think about how the signal travels and on what bandwidth, what type of wave it is.... ad infinitum. I thought everyone does this. Is this an Aspie trait?

I do the same thing. When I actually verbalize what I'm thinking, I can get some weird looks.

That's actually what I am wondering.

That thing you said in the middle isn't a "strange train of thought", it is recognizing sexism.
As for your question, I like to think about things.. A lot. And I'm often perplexed by things some other people might not notice. It's wonderful, not strange :)

Thanks, I agree, I think it is a product of an over creative mind, a mind that invents, creates....does that occur because we are always focussed on ourselves and alone, and waste no time on love relationships with others?

I can't dispute that we are a very self-centered bunch on average; but I'm the same whether I'm in a relationship or not. It's probably just introversion and intelligence and - for neurotypicals - unconventional minds? I don't think external situations is a factor.

Then again if these thoughts get scary or too intrusive it's probably not solely asperger's/autism, it could be any number of things. There are many comorbid conditions, anxiety and OCD being two of them.

When you have thoughts like: do people talk about their anus to others...like if they have himmoroids or a fistula...or you observe how many pick theri noses and you think of how many go to the toilet and jus tcome out of it, and you have to shake hands, you might think, has he washed it before, or not, and he just held his penis while pissing...do others think that too?

How many do grit their teeth at night. I think, what is the percentage of people that actually will change their diet with so much information on obesity. i also feel alwasy the urge to go to a table and tell families, that they should drink water and that a child needs water more than a fizzy drink. The list is endless, I worry too much, I think too much, I am a loner. Those thoughts don't help me to get anywhere but wasting energy I could spend on other things, I think now. But I cannot control it. One time someone said that I can control my worrying and last year I read they found the worry gen.

That sounds more worrying? OCD people can get very germophobic, but it's all about degrees and how it affects you.
I see you're just working out your issues, but as for obesity, even MORE research has proven that all that diet stuff doesn't work. Humans are more complicated than that. Google the Vermont prison study, if you want to see for yourself.
And no, worry is an emotion. You can't control that, saying otherwise is just emotion-dismissing and harmful.
But you CAN control how you feel about your emotions - your meta-emotions. There's stuff out there about emotion-dismissing and healthy handling of emotions, I can post some links if you'd like.

Also you mentioned creativity.. Do you get very creative when it gets like this? Is it always like this? Is it only things you're worried about or is it positive things too? Do your thoughts race and you have difficulty controlling them or are they just unasked for?

I'm not an expert though, so if it worries you: go talk to a professional about it.

Yes to most.
But luckily my room mate is an enabler and allows me to drone on endlessly about all of these thoughts.

I think about all sorts of random stuff all the time.

Sometimes I write down my thoughts... and then I read them years later, just for fun :D

I had a special mouthpiece created by the dentist to protect my teeth from grinding...my molars and all are all used up...But I find trouble sleeping with it...and then I realised it probbely doesn't happen at night, more during the day...I stim biting my inner cheeks and grit my teeth...it cost me 45 pounds! and then I lost it travelling in a hotel, I didn't care much for it.

Yes...I am going deep in to my issues, to see and compare, for more than before I realise what I thought everyone did is not true at all...

I do the same thing. It has gotten far worse since I quit chewing my nails. It seems it is just a trade of one bad stim for another. I have been trying to fiddle with pens and spin lighters in my fingers but still makes me look odd so 6 in one and half a dozen in the other. Jaw clinching what I have issues with now. I have been diagnosed AS just a few weeks ago. My "Theory of mind is terrible. I have learned that I am just a collection of symptoms on 2 legs. I am having to constantly stave the depression and anxiety away when I think about it. I smile when I think "It could be worse, I could rock in public as a stim instead of spinning a lighter etc..." :D
