I'm confused and frustrated with this. My special interests, the last three at least, have ended with me creating an alternative world making my main character interest pregnant and tell the story of that. I do it all the time and it frustrates me becausd i know its happening and after it starts i know that i wont get back to just liking the character as she really is. It annoys me so much. I also happens to affect my other habbits, im not as much of a fan of reading when im getting to that stage in an interest. Does anyone else feel this? what do you do?

I think it's probably a normal thing. Women all have maternal aspects. So do men, for that matter, but it's more obvious in women. As we grow up and grow older we explore those, not necessarily by having actual children, but by exploring our inner selves. I've had maternal fantasies as well as real life situations in which I expressed motherliness many times in my life without ever actually having children. Also wrote stories in which the main character was a mother. It's part of being female. It can also symbolize creativity. I can remember lots of times in my life when I dreamed at night of being pregnant or having a baby, when in reality I had something I needed to express creatively, something that I needed to nurture and bring into the world. And maybe the world making is about a need to understand that you create your own reality. Each of us does.
