Just do what the locals do and take a nap from 11:30am - 2:30pm

Sometimes some parts of the UK get that hot but it's not a very frequent thing. If you're not used to 30c temperatures then you will find it to be HOT. Make sure you drink plenty of water or other non-alcoholic and non-caffeinated drinks. The hottest time will be about 1100-1400; limit your time in the sun at that time as it's unlikely that you will have time to acclimatise on a short holiday. Take shorts, t-shirts or any other light clothing you feel comfortable wearing. Some people find a hat helpful. It's very possible that there will be afternoon thunderstorms (very common occurrence in hot and humid places) so you might want a light waterproof jacket or something.

I am more familiar with mainland Spain where it is very hot (30+) but not humid at that time of year. Wear loose cotton clothing, sun hat and sunglasses and stay in the shade. If you are in a hotel they may have aircon so that is easier to escape the heat. If you like to swim, the sea or pool will keep you cool. Just avoid any trips out with people trying to get as drunk as possible - not because of the drinking, just these things can be crowded and noisy.

If you are no fan of drunken german teenagers, singing german schlager (=folksongs), I would avoid the "Ballermann" beach. My partner and I did so whenever we went on holiday in similar areas, and never regretted it.

Use a high factor sun cream, and apply it regularly. Although you'll feel cooler near the sea, you can burn even more because of the sun's reflection off the water, and because you feel cooler you won't be aware of it until it's too late.

I hope you have a lovely holiday, and feel better prepared for it now. :)

Just a note:
Naps are meant to happen between 3-5 pm or something.

This is mainly because its when it gets hottest in Spain.
You can take them at any hour but most people avoid doing any activity between 3-5 because its when the heat gets worse

If you are forced to share your hotel with german guests, they have the bad habbit of forgetting their towels on a hotel deck chair, and believing that forgetting their towel on a hotel deck chair would mean that the deck chair belonged to them all day, even when this kind of behavior is exactly forbidden in the hotel rules they subscribed themselves, when checking in. Simply remove it and point at the hotel rules. If they dont stop nagging you, get yourself an austrian tourist to defend you and enjoy the show. XD

I you don't worry about being cool or dressing wrinkled clothes, try linen. It's incredible confortable when it's really hot.

Don't go to Magaluf or Palma Nova. They're kips.
