I have tics and tourettes syndrome, which is when you uncontrollably yell out sounds. But I can control the volumee now, so its not so loud.
My tics aree. a jumpy right armm and leg, and bobbing my head.

I get them in the form of violent twitches, usually not bad enough for Tourettes to be a possibility but they're a lot worse when I've taken certain drugs, like Ibuprofen.

Several although a few I have controlled or extinguished over the years. I kinda guessed I was not alone on this one.

Twitching a lot and all but not sure it can be considered a tic. It doesn't build up and it's not hard to control.

Aren't tics and stimms the same thing? They are both kind of involuntary??? Ach but I love my stims.

Breath holding, finger/leg tapping, etc. I can stim with the best of them..

My wife had a couple of definite tics when she was a kid, and while she could never completely win the battle against them, she redirected them into one tiny little tic which is very hard to notice.

My kid had echolalia when he was learning how to talk, but got past it... now he has other tics, the usual one just lately has been holding his breath. I'd imagine that one day he'll do like my wife did, and find something unobtrusive to transfer that energy into.

I "stim" when my mind is occupied with a "desirable" train of thought or a task
at hand. I sometimes have violent "tics" when I am trying to expel an intruding
and undesirable thought from my mind.

I have occasional tics in my left eye; usually when I'm deeply angry about something.

But that's fairly common, I think.

My two boys have tics, the elder used to have a facial tic which seems to have gone but he makes a snorting noise when he is stressed.

The younger boy shouts out random sentences that sound like dialogue from TV programmes. and recently just had to shout SATSUMAS in the middle of an English lesson which didn't go down to well with his teacher.

Im 16 years old and never used to have problems with tourettes, but recently in the last couple of months i find myself gritting my teeth more often, especially when i sit down to long or am bored, it may just be out of boredom, but i really dont know.
