thought this would be of great interest to UK people. For those that arent aware Disability living allowance (DLA) will be abolished shortly and replaced with PIP (personal independence payments). The bad news is if you recieve DLA your payments will be stopped and you will have to apply to be re assessed under the new PIP rules. The good news is that the qualifying rules seem to have been extended to include autistic style problems like socialising, personal organising issues and budgeting. So someone who failed to qualify for DLA might qualify for PIP.

In theory I should qualify for PIP, but then again in theory I should qualify for DLA and I'm still having to go to tribunal.
The PIP descriptors do seem more relevant to autism than the DLA ones so I guess that's good.

Really useful thanks.

Most useful bit is if you go to the appendix and look at all the scored criteria, then you can work out entitlement too.
