How Can I get the "Big Wigs" Of ASD Research to No
Page 1 of 1 [ 4 posts ]
After learning about how the human brain during the first 3 years, does a "neural dump" Kind of like when a computer crashes and dumps memory, I talked with my friend about a theory about how this could actually be a cause of Autism. I haven't seen any research about this online, And I would like to tell someone in the ASD world, about this theory. Because I might be on to something But I really have no idea how to go about this. I am only an Undergraduate student >.<
Any Help would be great!!
Oh and before you guys attack me, I am an Early Interventionist!! ! I DO NOT want to get rid of Autism!! !

Undergrad in what field? If you are studying psychology, you should have an opportunity to conduct your own research around third year. Staying on and completing an Honours and PhD thesis is obviously also helpful.
Actually I am currently doing psych but I am switching as The path I want to work in with Teaching, which i am already doin (double degree), requires a different degree. Also i have failed every Psych unit in 2012 that I attempted >.<
Is there any other way?

IMO, i don't see how that theory could cause Autism at all.
However if you are thinking of Childhood Disintegrative Disorder (CDD aka Heller's Syndrome), which onset is usually around 3 years of age.
Perhaps the neural dump could be the cause of regression in CDD...not all the causes of CDD are known.
IMO, i think your theory could match CDD rather than Autism.
Buenos Suerte with your theory!
