Inspiring people with Autism on YouTube?
1. NintendoCaprisun-He claimed to have it in a comment in one of his videos.
2. Nichole337
3. Some guy with Autism and ADD named MattsFuturistVision who's a gifted poet and he explained his Autism and ADD pretty well. I don't have Autism, but I have ADHD which is partially how he inspires me.
4. Carly Fleischmann-She's a low functioning Autistic who has expressed herself pretty well through a type writer.
Outside of these three, I hardly go around searching for Autistic videos and I've only landed into these four folks randomly. Who else on YouTube with Autism inspires you?
Thank you for posting the list i like to watch youtube videos.
Carly Fleishmann's videos are the most inspiring, she's come a long way it seems. I am happy for her that the computer was able to help her communicate.
Here is another video, the mother (CDFoakley) of Jamie has made a bunch of him

Jamie is a young adult now.
Sometimes progress comes a little at a time, it's not leaps and bounds. Even a little progress is always good!
Some people may not agree with putting their children on the net. Other times, i think that its good they put up videos so that other parents of autistic kids can see and realize they aren't alone. It also brings attention to serious issues about raising low functioning Autistic children and the times they reach maturity or age 18, adulthood and what to do, how to help.
Jamies mom was trying to get financial help from the govt in order to care for him so i think that may be why she did a lot of videos also.
These parents are extremely devoted and they are caring for their adult children at home.
I would not want to ever institutionalize an adult autistic child either.
As for group homes i think that they should only put Autistic adults in group homes with other Autistics. Too many times we see an Autistic adult placed in a group home among others with various mental disorders and it's horrible for the Autistic.
There also had been groups of parents getting together (in Jersey i think) to make adult Autistic group homes for their kids, since there is a point in time when most people think autistic children, yet these children do age.

Often times people with Low Functioning Autism are more aware than people think which is why they should never put in care homes with folks who have Down's Syndrome for example (a condition that people think Autism is worse than when it isn't). They may not be able to read facial expressions, communicate or things along those lines, but I think that Autism has been shown to be way different from an Intellectual Disability. You could have Down's Syndrome and Autism as a co-morbid however.
Here is another awesome video about a boy, Gage and how much progress he has made (LFA)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZwKqEccDWY
These are inspiring stories.
I agree, it seems there are times that people underestimate LFA children since they may be non-verbal. From Carly, Gage, even Temple Grandin these are proof that even those who have been labeled LFA are very intelligent.
Sometimes i think LFA children don't get the chance to show their true potential. Maybe they are stuck in the Foster Care/CPS systems or in a group home, or just have a family that doesn't give them that chance. It all the LFA children could be able to get the opportunity to use a ipad or even type, or just to communicate in the way they choose, it would be beautiful. Acceptance is key too.
If i were rich i would adopt LFA & spectrum children to save them from the system. The system just recycles children through different foster homes and group homes. There's no stability. Some foster homes may be torture, some may be alright.
These videos of Carly and Gage's stories are remarkable. They both were able to also get a lot of therapy needed to help them get to different points.
It proves that people can underestimate LFA children. Yet they have such potential!

People with Asperger's Syndrome or High Functioning Autsm are underestimated in the fact that companies write them off based off of label without reviewing them, when some Aspie's could easily carry any business, or some would possibly be pilots with their with their true potential. Also, I agree with you on how these 'Low Functioning Autistics' would possibly be regarded as genius's (or as intelligent rather) if they had a chance to show off what they had.
MrIAMNOTANOOB (that's me)
I prove that I can cheat on a Let's Play and upload it on YouTube despite the negative criticism from others. It takes a lot of guts since there will be plenty of people who will hate you for it. That's why I block accounts for that. My current LP is on hold since my enthusiasm for finishing it is at an all time low. I'm currently showing off the Rosters of some of my wrestling games for N64. I also take requests for Matches and CAW ideas but that depends. If there is a game someone wants to record but can't beat it without cheats, I encourage that person to go ahead and turn on invincibility and start recording immediately.
