In the link below, you can see a Photo, there are 2 brothers. One's 16 & the others 22. One of them is autistic & the other isn't. Here's a challenge for yuo. Can you guess which one has autism? You have 3 weeks to guess. Guess away! When you guess, it'd also be good if you explained why you pick the one you pick. Just click on the link below to see the Photo.

I said the one on the left. My husband said the one on the right. My reasoning was that the boy on the left seems to have a stiffer posture and seem less relaxed. My husband just went with intuition and gave an answer quickly without thinking too much.
I'm sure I heard of some research that concluded there could be some physical characteristics with asd but from people I've met I would never have been able to tell from physical appearance alone. I'm sure there will be lots of differing answers. Or maybe it's a trick and they both have autism - or neither of them?

I think the left. The boy on the left is looking more in a daze and less interactive with the camera, while the boy on the right is squinting with his eyes like he's trying to make himself a little more badass or something for the picture. The boy on the left also has a weird unnatural posture compared to the boy on the right.

The one on the right. It's his eyes.

Also his head is a little bit forward and unconnected from the rest of his body.

the taller dude on the right. Hes overweight, nearly has a unibrow, has a shirt of a reptile. He just looks more autistic to me.

I think one on the right does, one in the blue shirt with a lizard on it because his smile is off and he looks like he is barely smiling and one of his eyes looks averted. That's pretty typical of ASD in photos.

I'll go with the one on the right. Looks familiar, somehow.

But I would not be surprised to find my guess is wrong!

the one on the left.
He seems focused inward. His posture seems aloof.
His face is relaxed, his mouth is open, he has a wide eyed angelic look.
The picture is crooked.

At first I was thinking the one on the left because of some of his facial features, but then I concluded it's the one on the right because of the his expression and the way he is glancing.

the dude on the right is less groomed than the one on the left. From what I know, some aspies tend to not take care of themself as much in terms of looks and personal hygiene. My guess is the guy on the right for that reason.

Plus he's 22. What is he doing at home when he's 22? Many aspies struggle with self-independent skills.

Yellow shirt guy is my guess. (It's the mouths that make me guess that one.)

So I think that's left?

My guess is yellow. Blue is looking at the lens. Yellow is lookin 'near' the lens.

But in reality, a single picture doesn't give us a lot to go on.

My guess is the one on the right, because:

- his eyes look at the camera but the rest of his face isn't
- the california shirt looks fashionable, whereas the lizard shirt looks like it wouldn't soon find it's way into stores
- the slight smile of the one on the right seems a typical autist-in-front-of-camera smile
- he's the older brother (an unbased bias of mine)
