I hope this link works.I like Science daily as much as many like Wikkipidia....

I thought this was interesting.Alot of the females here seem to have tomboy tendencies.I myself,always assumed I had extra testosterone(inspite of hardly any body hair)because I liked wrestling and climbing trees when I was a kid and although I dislike violence,I like play violence,like biting and doing "spock shock".I know several of the males here also said they had more "female" brains.The research is just beginning but I think it has some interesting info.

I see it been thrown out "dopamine" is a parkinson thing, schizophrenia and related mental disorders..

I think what they should do before throwing thing's out is finish mapping it before saying stuff... Save alot of hassel...

Sick of reading stuff like this wish they will stop throwing out stuff until they complete the puzzle....

Sounds like the same junk with serotonin anti depression tablets & anxiety linked... Only thing I was getting was my throat getting more and more dry and my lips becoming like I was stud in a desert had to use lip balm, I was depressed as much as I was before * anxiety stayed the same... and i was on 300mgs of Venafaxina XL & I think the max is 345mgs I took myself off it coz of the things iw as getting plus I was going off my orange drink...

The dopamine bit does make some sense though. Its not a bad article, it just has its faults, like all articles do. Also depends on the writer.

Wonder if one of the questions the researcher of these guys bothered to ask the people if they ever took any of these drugs in the past...

They should finish mapping before they bother with autism as they know jack about other disorders that have more % and so on... I think if the researched focused on mapping than trying to prove 1 little thing & should not aloud to be published if only 1 lab has done the testing...

They have not even finished mapping the Y chromosome or other stuff just sound's stupid to focus in 1 area even if your doing it for autism, I am starting to think they do this just to get the funding or something in the research * As the stick autism on it * .... Should take it back They said it was a Junk Yard chromosome...

I saw some of the women here. Some definitely look and act like women. And I am DEFINITELY male. Look someplace ELSE. Besides, there ARE a lot of reasons for being tomboy like.

As for men talking about female brains? I was accused of that, but never really said it. I said it was more of a hybrid. Frankly, and it was more obvious as a kid, I had what I considered to be some of the best parts of both. The language abilities of a female, and analytical of a male. I always thought the "experts" were simply WRONG! It turns out that mix is COMMON for people with AS. Perhaps the only common mental part, outside of a bad social area. BTW that mix is there with females that have AS also. Ironically, those are two parts that get tested the most on IQ tests. That explains the high IQs!

I think we live in a more androgynous society than there's been in the past.

Me, I don't accept OR reject feminine pursuits just because they are female. But I would consider myself a relatively androgynous individual.

Apparently you can measure the influence of oestrogen / testosterone by the relative length of your ring and index fingers.

Also, there is an area of the brain which is a different shape according to whether you "feel" male or female. This is apparently what causes trans-sexualism.

I am female.
