Was anybody, as a child or maybe still, very interested in lamps?

I love lamps, and chandeliers. Especially crystal chandeliers. Oh, and disco balls :D

I went through a period where I studied lamps seriously. Mainly it was about the history of gas lamps and the types of lighting used in the olden days. It's always fascinated me because, as a child, we lit our house with oil lamps. I'm glad you can still find those lamps today.

a few years ago i refurbished antique lighting fixtures.
oil. oil to electric conversions, early electric to mid century stuff.
chandeliers, wall sconces, some lamps.
heavily into lead crystals, old brass components and castings.
art deco lighting was also one of my favorite rebuilds.

i have lost my drive in this craft.
and mostly every thing i once had interest in.

it was a good run for a few years.
the light grows dim now.

You could say light is the gap between us and reality.. makes sense that we are so fascinated by it.

Millions of photons hit your skin every second in the sun, it's crazy how wonderful that feeling is. Isn't it? :)
