Do you share the fact that you have autism/aspergers with others openly or do you wait to get to know them better first? I have this girl I've been doing stuff with and she tolde she has aspergers.

I haven't told anyone, but if I'm to tell anyone, it would be my family only. I trust them fully. Friends are not guaranteed to be friends forever. They might turn into enemies and the last thing you want is for them to know your personal issues. They could use it against you. Sounds a bit cynical, but that's reality.

I share NVLD with others because it's easier to explain and less stigmatized. Autism, not so much.
