Dear WP,

I am looking for autistic adults in Southern California to participate in an autism research study at Caltech.

The study is on visual perception in ASD.
It requires an official diagnosis on the autism spectrum (Autism, AS, or PDD-NOS).
It involves coming to Caltech, doing an eye-tracking experiment, and answering a questionnaire.
It takes about an hour and pays $30 for people in Los Angeles County and $40 for people farther away.

Here is a flyer about the study: http://tinyurl.com/c9wqwcx

The study is in the lab of Professor Shinsuke Shimojo.
The lab specializes in visual perception and cognition.
Here is the lab webpage: http://neuro.caltech.edu

If you would like to participate or know more, please contact me at [email protected].
You can also contact the lab manager Eiko Shimojo at [email protected] or 626-395-2359, and please CC me as well.

I graduated from Caltech in chemistry, but I am now switching to neuroscience to pursue my special interest in autism.
I have been obsessed with my special interest since my diagnosis of autism two years ago.
I am just starting out in this field, and I hope that you will consider helping me with this research.

I have received permission from Alex to post about this study on WP.

Thank you!
Bunny

I participated in an eye tracking study at Stanford about a year ago. Is this related?

No, this study is not related to that study, but eye-tracking is a verry merry berry popular tool in cognitive neuroscience research studies.

Thank you, Ai Ling.
