Anyone really hate being touched on the neck, I have no other touch problems that I am aware of but if anyone touches me on the neck I scream and fall to the floor, hah someone could really use that against me. even thinking about someone touching my neck makes me feel horrible, its the worst thing ever.

my brother acts like he is going to touch my neck just to annoy me, its scary eugh its just awful. Also can't wear turtle necks.

My sister's like that. She still doesn't like it, but she's much better with it now than she used to be - I think she gradually sensitized herself to it over time. (She can wear turtlenecks now, and as long as I don't unexpectedly touch her neck she's fine.)

If anybody touches me anywhere from the neck to the shoulder it startles me and puts me briefly in fight or flight type mode. I can touch those areas without any problem

Sounds related to the "tag on the back of the shirt" problem some have.

I can deal with it if I have known the person for a while, have some liking for them, and am in the right mood. Most importantly I have to have given them permission. (This is true for most of my body, but particularly those areas)

Also, my sister said to say that it's easier to wear a turtleneck if you think of it as a shield against peoples' hands.

I hate being touched on the throat. I even have trouble with some turtle necks and helmet straps. I wear my ski and bike helmet straps looser than I probably should.

My dentist has a new thing now where they check your jaw line and throat for any abnormalities or swollen lymph nodes. When the hygienist was checking me I nearly bit her head off. I can't stand it when people breath on me either especially on my neck. And if you touch me unexpectedly on the neck I have been known to freak out as well depending on who is touching me. If it is someone I really trust and am super super close to than it's fine and sometimes I even like it but if it it just regular friend than I don't like it at all. It creeps me out and sometimes the sensation loops too making it even more uncomfortable.

I can't say I hate it, since I do not do hate. I do not however like things touching my neck, or really any other parts of me. I'm highly sensitive to so much, and I do my best to deal with it. Stopped screaming and falling to the floor years ago, my father beat that out of me. But I still can't wear certain things, certainly NOT turtlenecks, even t-shirts with neck lines to close bother me. Wool bothers me, tags bother me, people I don't know touching me when I'm not prepared for it can leave me unsettled. So yeah, I have touch problems. Right now my hair is touching my neck I don't like that either, but I don't like my hair short. Which is ironic because it's in a ponytail most of the time because I cannot have it touching my ears, they turn bright red and feel like they are burning, much the same with my neck. So yes, I can relate.

I used to be like that. I couldn't stand to have anything touch my throat. I guess I still am, but it doesn't bother me as much as it used to. Turtle necks were definitely out. Worst thing about getting my hair cut, was when the barber would tie the haircut cape around my neck. From that point on, the only thing I could think of was, get this done with ASAP, and get this thing off my neck.

While I have never been touched there, I wouldn't like to know. Considering how I react when people touch me by poking me in the face or the back, I could calculate the possibility of this happening to be unlikely.
