I can pretty much trip over my own two feet at a moment's notice, and despite knowing that something's in front of me and has been there for a long time, I keep bumping into it nearly every time I'm near it. My dad keeps saying "You know it's there--it hasn't gone anywhere."
Does anyone else have this problem?

Yep, I'm no stranger to stubbed toes, scrapes, and bruises.

I tend to "bounce" of off doorways especially, and sometimes I stumble/fall from loosing my footing for no apparent reason. Among other movement issues, I was often teased for how I walked, to coin one comment in particular it was like I "had a corncob stuck up my butt". I have tried to just walk slowly since then and wouldn't run/jog in PE when I was in school. The one time I ran at work was to catch someone leaving without their phone, and I received comments like "You run like a goofball". Whenever I concentrate on it, I have excellent balance and I stand on one leg for a long period of time, etc. but overall I'm very clumsy.

I do. There is a one corner in the house that I'm constantly bumping into. I often trip over things and bump into door facings as well. I have two little kids (6 and 3) so there are plenty of things lying around for me to trip over.

I apparently ran funny as a child as well. I ran on my toes. When I played Tball, they called me Tippy Toes.

When I ran down the hall in middle school to get to my classes the kids would say "run, Forest, run" and laugh at me.

I'm not sure if I don't know how far my shoulders stick out from the center of my body or how wide the doors in my house really are, I keep hitting on the sides as I walk past them.

I got stitches in my head 5 different times when I was a kid from being clumsy or spatial issues. I still bounce off doorways as an adult.

Ps. I also got 17 staples in my head but that was my wife's fault.

ROFLMAO! I have had that said to me too!! !! :lmao:

I used to bump into things all the time too. My mother used to get mad at me because I'd always be marked up from bruises on my legs (really don't know how they got there) and scabs that I would pick at endlessly, and she was worried people would think she was doing it to me!

Yep, I was often called "klutz", "spaz", "doofus", "goofball", and "Space"

I once walked into a fire hydrant to be silly, and my sister refused to believed I did it on purpose because "that was the way (I was)."

I was laughed off my T-ball team for running like a robot.

Anything knocked over, dropped or smashed was probably that way because because I touched it. If it wan't me then it most likely my aunt.
I couldn't walk in a straight line without walking in a circle.
Not a day goes by when I knock over a drink, or drop my phone or fall down the stairs and I'm forever walking into people or things.
Many people have commented on my apparently distinctive walk and not always kindly.

I'm surprised I'm still alive tbh :D

I'm always running into the sharp corner of the small table beside my dad's chair. It drives me nuts, not to mention that it hurts.

Yes, I have the same problems. It's been much worse in the past, not so bad now at all. 8) And I definitely have far fewer problems with clumsiness while the Dexedrine IR I take for ADHD is in full effect, but when it wears off I'm much more likely to start tripping over myself again.

annnnnd just because this topic reminded me of my favourite song of all time: (due to the memories of the Summer this song had huge radio play in the late 90's.)

I am usually running into things that should be so obvious like doors, walls and our machines at work. I am covered in scratches and bruises from being a Klutz.
