rather than too little. It has probably prevented women from considering me creepy, but I think it prevents me from being taken seriously in some contexts. I smile whenever my senses get overloaded. So basically, the stress of being around people triggers it. So smiling when miserable. Weird, right?

I do the same thing and the more overloaded I get the more I seem giddy and happy. People think I'm really energetic and hyper when the truth is I'm just freaking out in the most socially acceptable way. I'm trying to work on this, even if it means just stating my real feelings and not sounding genuine because I'm smiling. I don't think its that weird. You can always practice controlling it or telling people you trust that you do this. My husband has gotten really good at knowing weather I'm really happy or just stressed and it helps tremendously to have a person who knows these things.

Does your face ever get stuck in a smile, so you can't even fully get out of it? This happens to me, particularly around fluorescent lighting, but also when there are a lot of people around making me anxious.

I've heard people don't take you seriously if you do this (smile too much)

I tend to smile when im extremely nervous or when someone says something that doesn't make any sense.

Sometimes when your facial expression and the situation don't match, you could look creepy. "Why's that guy smiling/laughing?"
