Hello. I have some questions for people who have been diagnosed by specialists. I would like to know how it goes: like what answers were you asked, or tests you had to take. I want all method of official diagnosis. And I'd be grateful if you were as specific as possible.
Thanks.

I'm with droopy! HEY, I understand asking WHAT they will do, and WHAT you need, but the questions can vary, and the answers should be YOURS!

I want to find out how do they diagnose it! That's all. I want to know on what things do they judge whether you have problem or not. Why? - because I don't believe in any diagnosis, and I want someone to prove me wrong.

They all seem to be a little different.I basically wrote up the aspie quiz questions(by RDOS)to give my self a format, and just went through each question giving examples of how I felt the question did/or did not apply to me.Then the psych asked me questions based on childhood and current experiences related to the several areas of the psych diagnostic manuel.Of 8 criteria,he said I fit all 8(I dont agree, though many of them apply, not all,in my opinion.)Most would like to get childhood memories from family, when possible. Some give "tests" for IQ but mine did not.Childhood seems to be more relevant then adult experiences as we do learn to "fake" and compensate.
