A question, if you please, about a missing thread...

Ok did I miss something? There was a post on here about a ghost story and I was going to reply to it only to find it had been deleted.
My reply was this (my actual question is posted below for those who want to skip straight to it):
Quote:
Actually I am fascinated by the paranormal and parapsychology..so your post entertains me and piques my interest.
Do I believe in ghosts...I don't know. I like to keep an open mind but let me clarify once again that it is parapsychology that interests me, which is the scientific study of paranormal phenomena. This means that I find the theory that sleep paralysis is actually responsible for many alien abduction experiences or old hag experiences just as interesting (if not more so) than the explanation that it is a real life alien or ghostly old hag. I don't know if I believe in aliens and old hags...but as I said, I like to keep an open mind to the possibility anyway (sleep paralysis is the most likely explanation though in most instances and is the one I tend to believe in).
It also reminds me of an experience I had as a child.
There used to an old house on one of the estates I lived on and it was said to be haunted. The place was boarded up and was very dark inside (pitch black actually). One day my brother and his friends decided to take me there and dared me to go in with them (I was only about 5 the buggers). Anyway I did go in with them and the sods disappeared left me alone in there for a while (as a joke) whilst making ghosts noises before eventually coming back to get me. At the time it upset me as it was very dark and I couldn't see anything. The place was also condemned I think and was not very safe to roam around in. I did not see a real ghost though!
Anyway, I am over it now (it was 32 years ago lol) but I wonder if that is where my interest in Parapsychology stems from...(in part anyway).
Parapsychology was once a very strong fascination of mine and is still a minor interest to this day, although at the moment my focus is on tapestry and the palaeolithic in relation to human evolution and diet.
All the same I am going to go against the grain and say amusing post.
On saying that, I will agree with a poster when it comes to saying 'Don't believe everything you read'.
The psychology behind (and the origins of your story) could be interesting to investigate however.

Anyway, for future reference, as I can have an interest in all things parapsychological, is it a no no to post such topics on this forum board?
Also did I miss something as to why it was deleted?

Yes it was posted by a troll who only had four posts all in that thread.
The thread was remove along with the poster I would say.
