I'm just curious to see if the results are similar to the figures I'm reading in articles off-site. My apologies if this has been done before.

I'm employed but I purposely work as a nightwatchman. It's a zero performance job and I get to be completely alone most of the time. I get to use my laptop or iPhone or read books as much as I want. It's like sitting at home except I get paid for it. Outside of that I do artwork.

But to answer your question, I worked full time until late 2010 and then retired. But, I would love to have a part time job working as a backhoe operator. :wall:

I did night shift at a hotel for ages. so far that's the only job I've kept. I'm going to school to be a sleep technologist, though, which is roughly the same thing but three times the pay. in the mean time I'm applying for disability, since trying to work retail has given me seizures and spontaneous facial paralysis...

I used to work full-time - I've held multiple jobs since I was 16 years old, in my last job I was working up to 60 hours per week in a target driven office environment, but long-term unemployment has now left me unemployable both in the eyes of employers and due to autism regression caused by stress, lack of routine, lack of purpose and isolation of unemployment.

What is a "sleep technologist"?

I said "yes; full time", because there wasn't a choice for small business owner/partner.

:humor: If we ask nicely, the next poll may break it down by full-time/part-time, non-passive/passive, and entity reporting structure.

Oh wait, that's tax forms....

I'm in the same position.

I have a full-time job, but I'm not happy with it at all. I could do much better.

Yep. Me too.

Did very well in my position but the company closed and no one will look at me now/

I'm surprised we've had so many "full-time" responses in the 7 (mostly daytime) hours since this was posted.

I'm not saying people are slacking, I am curious as to why more people don't post.

I worked full time when I was 21-23 and then I was laid off full time. Now I work part time and prefer it that way. Maybe some day I will work full time again when my son is in school or old enough to take care of himself and have his own life and not need me as much.

Which part? I did jump around a bit in that post.

1. I was surprised we had so many WPers click "full-time" in the roughly 7 hours the thread has been on WP. First of all become many of our posters are un/underemployed, and second because most of those 7 hours were traditional working hours in the United States, which is the largest pool of WP posters.

2. I did'nt want anyone saying I was accusing our "full-time" posters of slacking at work.

3. I have always been curious as to why so many WPers are willing to answer a poll, but may not want to post in a given thread. I would guess that the reasons to not post in a given thread depend on time, interest in a topic, etc. etc.

I'm not sure if I explained myself properly.
