Interesting, I have never tried watching with the sound off. I am mostly okay with extreme emotions like anger and happiness, but hopeless with the more subtle emotions. I find it easier to identify on television as it is a different situation to face to face interaction and often, the emotions are portrayed in a more obvious fashion.
