Carly, age 14, hits it off with Tim, age 19. But Carly's mother, Diana, automatically assumes that because of the age difference, Tim wants to exploit Carly sexually.
At the end of this play, I wanted to scream at Diana:
"YOU COST BOTH CARLY AND TIM THEIR ONLY FRIEND, YOU MONSTER!! !! !"
And not only that, Diana has basically accused Tim of intent to rape with zero evidence. I would say she was AT LEAST as bad as Nancy Grace!! !
If that same logic had been applied to my parents when they got together, I would have never been born.
