Is anyone spending Easter on their own. I am, apart from a 6 year old. It's kind of through choice I could got to my Mum's but there are too many people there for Easter and I've problems getting on with both my sisters one is schizophrenic and very intense to be around the other's very intimidating among other things.

I would if I could.

I am expected to eat lunch with my oldest brother and his wife on Sunday.

Other than that, I would probably not talk to anyone over the three day weekend except when going to the grocery store.

What is the six year old doing?

I have to travel over Easter. I am staying with a Jewish friend, so it will be kind of quiet.

I'm always alone. Easter makes no difference to me.

Aren't they having passover now?

Yes because I don't celebrate Easter.

Easter is just a normal day to me, as neither myself or my family celebrate it. I'll probably spend the day playing games and studying intermittently.

That's interesting. Since Ireland is predominantly Catholic and Easter is a major event for Catholics and other Christian churches, I always assumed that Easter would be a very big holiday in Ireland.

(Ireland is one of the few places I would like to visit. Considering that I've only been more than 100 miles from home once in the past ten years and that only to visit a brother of mine in the hospital, it's not likely I'll ever actually make it that far.)

A small church has always been a safe haven for me. It's the only kind of social interaction I have. So, I'll be in church on Easter. But aside from that I'll be home alone. Maybe I'll eat a chocolate bunny.

On a normal Sunday, we will generally have around 20 or 30 people. For Easter, that will at least double. I usually plan on going to church on Easter and then skip church to avoid the crowds.

That should be enough to meet the minimum daily requirement of Vitamin Chocolate. :)

I'm spending Easter alone. I really wanted to go home and spend time with my family, but I'm in school now and we have a monster project (and I do mean monster, 150 page report+a few other things to turn in) due in 7 days, so this is our last weekend to actually work on it before then. So, that's going to consume my entire holiday, fun fun!

I spend Easter alone, as I do pretty much all my weekends, except, when I am taking care of the dogs of one professor here, when she and her husband are out of town. They (the dogs) are the best company I could ask for.
I enjoy my weekends of solitude. Maybe this weekend because of Easter , I will give myself a treat and cook something special.

Apart from delivering chocolate easter eggs to my nieces/nephews later today, this holiday doesn't affect my routine at all.
I will be alone apart from my cat whom I live with.

Yes, I am, like on any other day. I went out on Friday to see a friend for coffee. Nothing to do with Easter. For the rest of the weekend, I'm peacefully alone. I'll just relax.

Yeah, our attendance will probably be triple this Sunday, so I'll probably beat it right after. Then again, those who are only there because it's Easter will evacuate immediately too. So maybe I'll hide in a corner instead to avoid the stampede. Or maybe I'll challenge myself and go around saying hello to and shake the hands of a bunch of people I don't know. I'm thinking maybe 0.5mg of Easter Xanax. The tablets are shaped like little eggs after all
