Thanks, autism, for helping me be a unique individual.

But I could have lived with a few more friends and better social skills.

Thanks, autism, for making my life entertaining to those around me.

But I could have dealt with sarcasm going into instead of over my head.

Thank, autism, for helping me see things in a different light.

But I could have lived with a sense of what's and what's not diplomatic.

Thanks, autism, for contributing to the human that is me.

Thanks, autism, for making me docile and non-confrontational.

But I could have done without the bullies and personal attacks.

Thank you autism for making me honest and direct.

I could have lived without the unintended hurt feelings.

Thanks Autism, for making me detail-oriented and flourish in the arts.

But I've gotten in trouble way too many times for not behaving correctly in certain situations.

Thanks autism for making me different, smarter than the average joe when it comes to specific subjects and different and not the cookie cutter image society wants me to be.

Thanks Autism, for making me love learning.

I could have done without the insatiable need to tell everyone everything I've learned, boring them all stupid though.

Thanks, Autism, for letting me soak up facts and details like a sponge.

I would love to be less forgetful about everything else, though.

Thanks, autism, for making me precise and detail-oriented.

But I could have done without the poor motor coordination and lack of athletic skills.

Thanks autism, for making my life interesting and challenging.

It would have been nice to find out earlier what a delightful group of individuals I belong to, rather than thinking it was just me.

Thanks, autism, for making me care so deeply and passionately about my interests.

I could have done without being unable to get into anything I find uninteresting though.

Thanks Autism, for giving me a brain which is such a rich world by itself that I will never know boredom.

I could have used the ability to be more present in the moment with others though, and to not be so distracted by my own thoughts and imagination.

Thanks Autism, for making me a math and science genius and giving me a wild imagination.

It would have been nice to be able to trade some of that talent for other talents, like being able to socialize. It's like having all the money in the world without any stores to go spend it in.

Thanks for making me disabled.

No, I mean it; life would be too easy otherwise.

Thanks, Autism for giving me visual skills and artisticness
But I could have done without my excessive naiveté.
