In a low mood, lying on my bed and not in a new year's eve spirit and don't see the point in me celebrating it. I feel everyone else like me (29 or other 20 year olds) enjoy it more than I do because they've achieved great things in their lives, satisfied with their goals and lead great lives than I do.

Your perception is not true.

I would say the majority of men in the 20's feel unfulfilled, just like you do.

And just like I felt in my 20's, and still feel near my 58th birthday.

Hey, mMate! I'll say this to you, even though it goes against your current feelings.

Get up.
Get dressed.
Get out.
Find a sad-looking woman.
Tell her she's great.
Have fun.

Are you feeling better?

I hope you, at least, get some apple cider for yourself.

Think of the things you HAVE got. Have you got a job? Do you have at least one or two friends? Are you close to your parents or other relatives? Do you have a hobby you enjoy doing? What are you good at? Have you been abroad before, or even on holiday in the UK?

It's all the helpful advice I've got, I'm afraid. I do understand how you're feeling though. Asperger's sucks, and it's a pity some of us have to be stuck with it.

Maybe you will get further next year, isn't that hope what new year's is about?

Personally i don't bother with new years, to tired after the other holidays that come one after another. I wish holidays were more spread out.

This year was not a particularly impressive one in terms of accomplishment for me and I experienced some major losses. However, this day has been a fairly productive one. I attended to some things I needed to get done, went to work, which was also fairly productive and am sitting at home relaxing. My goal for 2019 is to listen for any new ideas that could help me get ahead in life.

I wish everyone a Happy New Year.

Denis Istomin starts his 2019 tennis year tomorrow. I hope I can find a livestream of the match.

I was also in a low mood last night. I drank an energy drink in order to get high so I wouldn't cry. Nothing ever changes on New Year's Day. Things stay the same year after year. Nothing really changes for Trans people. I enter each year knowing that nothing is going to change.

If you want to lie in bed, nobody can stop you

Not everyone achieved "great things"

For example, me

No school, no work

Only one friend

What "great things"?

No job skills, can barely drive, can't cook or sew,

Every day gorging way out of control

I'm the same. I always say I have a 'phobia' of the new year. I don't like the idea of a big, blank, uncertain calendar ahead of me. I like the security of the past and I don't like moving farther away from it. I'm usually stressed out for at least a month or two until I get a foothold into the new year.

I was very nostalgic until midnight struck but, somehow, I've had a happier transition than I expected. One good thing is that I like odd numbered years better. Unfortunately, I also have synaesthesia: I don't like the 9 in 2019 because it's a weird shade of salmon pink. The 8 was much nicer (red).

My life is so complex!
