I have just got an unofficial diagnosis from an expert. I wrote him, and today I talked with him.
I went on and on from my long list, and he confirmed with a little reservation about things, I could have read in here, - until I told him about some odd sensations, I remembered having as a child and sometimes as an adult: Tiles growing and shrinking before my eyes, and my own body doing the same, - and the feeling of being in a centrifuge when sitting in a chair reading, and strange noises in the ears (frightening).
The expert explained something about eyes and different processing, which could lead to a feeling of dizziness, when the body sensation was off due to inactivity.
I thought, that it was quite normal to loose body sensation when inactive for a certain amount of time, but he said it isn´t.
It is the brain processing differently.
Have anyone else had this sort of experiences?

I have been searching for answers for so long, that this is jaw-dropping news.

I have had some experiences similar to what you describe. Although I've never had tiles groowing and shrinking, I have had incident where the ground in front of me seemed to stretch or ripple hen I looked at it. I've also heard strange noises, usually ha high pitched whine, from time to time. I also have a problem where sounds, such as people talking or pages turning, will slowly get louder over time until they reach unbearable levels.

He said, sensory experiences of that kind is typical for aspergers. I think I have seen ripples also.
thank you, RubyWings

Sensory stuff like that is common in AS. The loosing sensation or the "huh, can't tell if I have a right hand right now. ... *look down and see it* ..... Oh, there it is and now I can feel it again" sensation is problems with proprioception. It happens frequently with me with my arms/hands and legs/feet.

I dislike geometric wall papers because the patterns seem to shrink and grow as I look at it. It is almost like looking at optical illusions.

Thank you.
Just for further comparison, - have any of you had a less brilliant balance?
I was never so bad, that anyone examined me, but I never learned to balance on rollerskates, and disciplins involving standing on one leg wasn´t my favourite either.

I have similar experiences, my coordination is worse where there is more than one thing moving.

Try to connect bat, feet or hands with a ball is hard.

Where as things like climbing and cycling I enjoy and have a developed decent amount of skill with.

Balls and bat aren´t really my field. No ball eye and hopeless orientation on the green.

I wonder why I have been so nervous, that I on the verge of puking ever since I spoke with that expert? I have suspected this, so it is not exactly a surprise (apart from what he said about the neurological stuff being evidence).

After all, it is not that dramatic either.

How long has this been going on, the anxiety?

Any other changes in your life?

Yeah, recently I had a weird experience a bit like one of the things you said. I had just walked a mile or so home from school, and looked at the ground, and the parts I was focused on appeared to be shrinking before my eyes. That's never happened before, but it was the weirdest thing to see. It was like the floor around it was trying to get to this centre point. I never really connected it to anything, and my mum didn't really respond with much when I said "the floor's moving..". She was like "your eyes are just weird.. or your brain", so I responded with "probably my brain.. it's weird enough as it is, I blame it". Some other things sometimes appear to be moving, but I haven't connected it up before. ASD related? :o

I also did not realise about the visual tweaking. I thought this was normal for everyone.

This definitely increases, frequency and intensity, when I'm tired too?

My workplace's restroom is walled with 1x1 inch tiles all of the same greenish color - floor to ceiling. If stand near the wall I simply cannot look directly at them. The same effect, as others have mentioned, happens to me - where they appear to move a bit.

Most of my sensory stuff kind of comes and goes based on a number of factors but this is every time.

Since yesterday. No change, - apart from this new information.
I´ve always had a tendency to anxiety, so I thought, these phenomenas were bodily expressions of anxiety. Suppressed emotions, you know. Apparently they aren´t. At least, that is what I was told.

Try and distract yourself, special interest, get out and do some exercise.

The realisation will be absorbed at a natural rate.

Maybe I am unsure about this...?
Think I will ask my doctor on thursday and just carry on with my to-do-lists now.

Oh crap! That happened to me too after I had some exercise! How weird.
