These are the answers I'd give today. I know them to be "correct". Notice the quotes around the word.
1. A wolf's face
2. Two people in thick winter coats, dancing with each other
3. Two people cooking a meal together, with steam rising from the pot
4. A bear standing on its hind legs
5. A bat
6. An animal skin lying flat
7. Two people in a seated position facing each other
8. Two small mammals climbing an old tree stump
9. An abstract painting of a cat's face
10. A tidepool with sponges and corals, from a top-down view
These are the answers I vaguely remember giving when I took this test when I was 12. Not surprisingly, I failed it miserably.
1. An angry wolf
2. Two people fighting, with blood spilling
3. Two people trying to lift something, breaking a sweat in the process
4. A man looking at me angrily from above
5. A bat
6. Road kill
7. Two women arguing bitterly
8. Agahnim, the wizard from the Zelda video game
9. Someone injured in a nuclear explosion
10. Spills found on a house painter's uniform
I read somewhere about the answers that psych workers looks for. It's also better to say "it looks like", rather than "it is", because those inkblots aren't supposed to be anything specific, no matter how closely they resemble it.
"Good" answers:
* Human imagery, EXCEPT sex organs
* Friendly interactions between people
* Animals
* Plants
* Fine arts
* Pop culture
"Bad" answers:
* Hostility between people
* Blood, severed body parts, death, etc.
* Descriptions of ink blots looking threatening
* Sex organs
* Video game characters
* Any mentions of whitespace in inkblots (supposedly, it means you're schizophrenic)
This website also has some do's and don'ts when it comes to giving test answers: http://www.dandebat.dk/eng-personkort.htm.
