Ok so here is kind of an update. A while back I posted about my mom being in the hospital. I have been really worried about her. She is not dead or dieing but is very sick and can't raise me for a while. So when I went to my dads he said he thought it was a little vacation and he doesn't have time to raise me. So I have been living with my aunt for a few weeks now. The reason I am posting this is because I am psyched. I have wanted one for a while. And I am getting a dog. I was hospitalized for depression and after a few days I was released. While I wa there I worked with a special dog to help kids through tough times. Well my consilor said that I can be pushed up on the list for a service dog because of this hospitalization and my autism. So next week we are going to train with a dog and I am excited. I read about it and I is going to be a service dog not a companion so I can take it with me in school. Which I am in the process of transferring to. The only thing that really has changed is I have been more aggressive lately. I had a meltdown from moving to my aunts and all the stress and I kicked a hole in the wall. The police where called but nothing happened except they talked to me. But now the hole is fixed. I'm getting a dog and I'm going to see iron man 3 in IMAX with my aunt on Friday.

I hope you are paying for whatever it cost to fix that hole in the wall. entirely unacceptable behavior for a 16 year old, autisitic or not.

***Ok everyone read this***
When I kicked the wall I didn't do it trying to break it. I did it not with my flat foot I did it with my toes while I was agenst the wall crying. The reason. I found out my dad didn't want me because he had tons of trips planned with his new wife and at that time we thought my mom was going to die. The reason th police were Called but it was because my aunt thought I was going to hurt myself (which I did actually later that week). I was hospitalized. And am now on stronger antidepressants. In fact ill say I did try to do something bad. BUT DON'T WORRY I AM FINE NOW they wouldn't have let me out if I wasn't. The end statement was ment as a life is starting to get better. Not I'm a out of control lunatic smashing things and getting away with it. I hope that clears things up. And you now know I have trouble expressing what I want when I write.

Congrats on the service dog! :D

(and yes, pay for the repair of the hole as you're reasonably able)

Whether it's 'acceptable' or not doesn't matter one bit. What matters is what approach is most likely to prevent him kicking other holes in the wall.

I would not spend any money, this is a good time to learn some drywall/plaster repair! A useful life skill to know and a great money saving skill too. Thats what I would do anyway. Congratulations on the dog!

Typical aspies, more worried about the irrelevant detail of the hole in the wall than the point of the post. It's okay guys, the hole is not a huge deal and it's not the point. To the OP, congrats on your dog, that sounds awesome :D

In all fairness its the OP who brought up the hole in the first place.

Yes, but the hole in the wall was a small detail designed to emphasise the difficulty the OP was having emotionally, thereby bolstering their explanation for why they needed a service dog, the post was not focused on the hole in any way, and therefore does not require this intensity of debate.
