I was disappointed with the ending though, it felt like the only romantic comedy/drama in history where the protagonists didn't get together in the end, and the reason they didn't was because of Adam's AS.
That was a bit disappointing, but they both seemed to end up happy in the end, both accomplishing their dreams, so I didn't mind too much. And it isn't the only one where the protagonists don't end up together, it didn't work out in 500 Days of Summer either. Weird thing is, those are my two favourite romances (and I usually don't like romance stories to begin with).
True, although if I remember correctly, in 500 Days of Summer, almost as soon as the guy loses Summer, he turns around and meets a girl named Autumn, so that was a fairly typical story in which the gilted NT can turn around and find someone new in a heartbeat. It's been a while since I saw that film though so I may be misremembering.
