Does your Asperger's make you look stoned?

Throughout high school people have said I looked stoned. I still think about this and kind of believe it. I think it's my anxiety and sensitivity to light. I also think I talk slower sometimes because I'm analyzing the conversation and thinking really deep. Now that I'm in college, no one has said I look stoned but people have said I'm laid back.

Can anyone relate?

I can relate. Sometimes I drift off into my inner world and become oblivious to what is happening around me and people don't understand - I'm physically there but with a blank distant look on my face (so they say) rather like I'm stoned, but it is simply because my consciousness is elsewhere, deep in thought about something.

My speech can vary between slow and thoughtful to extremely rapid, like I'm firing words from a machine gun which leaves people reeling!

Someone once told me that if I was any more "laid back" I'd be horizontal!

I mostly get told I look not interested or expressionless... Or tired so maybe they mean that?

Yeah, I think it sometimes makes me look stoned and other times it makes me look kind of crazy. I get that distanced far-away glassy look in my eyes.

Yes. In fact, I have actually had complete strangers approach me - - Once a woman took my by the shoulder, shaking me (gently), asking me in a loud voice, "ARE YOU OKAY??"

Geez.....I was perfectly fine. I was in deep pensive thought and watching something intently when this occurred.

I used to get accused of it all the time in my 20's. The odd thing is that I had never even tried the stuff at that point in my life! It doesn't happen at all now that I have learned how to use intonation more in my speech. However, I do still occasionally get caught staring into space and having someone ask me if I am alright.

When I was a teenager people sometimes thought I looked high when I wasn't and I remember my friend jokingly saying that I was "high on life".

Most of my friends say I look stoned but when I am in a really good mood they say I smile so much they sat it's creepy.
Basically they say I look like Garek from DS9!

No I just look tired ...and angry

As people have told me

I get told I look tired, I hate it when random people say "HEY WAKE UP!", its very rude.

Occasionally people told me I looked stoned. I just tell them, "because I am".

I've heard that a lot. I've also been told I sound stoned often - back when I played online games a lot, I'd often hear that I sound stoned when using voice chat features or programs while gaming.

Yes, and then they started asking me if they could buy some weed, which the answer was no, because I had none; but when they found it they offered me some, because they thought I was a stoner (this was during middle and high school, over 15 years ago); I used to have a pretty pronounced lazy eye, that is still noticeable when I am tired (it's actually not so much a lazy eye as a lazy eyelid).

Probably, but I also like to get stoned so sometimes they are right to think I look stoned.

People think I'm stoned all the time. I find this very offensive. I'm only stoned, like, 3/4 of the time.
