Okay so I could swear I had heard of a condition like dyslexia where you have trouble reading lines properly in books. Like you lose your place easily or skip lines and your eyes can't really track properly. I could swear I'd read this as an AS trait and there was an actual name for it.
I'm trying to describe it; does anyone know what it's called?

Ettina, is Irlen Syndrome where the reader has to place a book mark or ruler beneath the line they are reading to keep one's place? I used to have to do this for the first few years after I learned how to read. But I hadn't thought about it since--at least until I read this post.

I looked it up and that definitely could be it. I constantly have to reread to comprehend books because I skip words and lose my place. Thanks!

Websites about Irlen Syndrome:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scotopic_sensitivity_syndrome

http://www.anstice.co.nz/irien-syndrome

http://www.planet.eon.net/~judypool/irlen.htm

I don't exactly understand what it is, but it sounds like a type of visual processing disorder.
