I know this is a rare mix but I'm wondering if there is anyone else like me. I'm impulsive, reckless, disinhibited, bored if I'm not active, insensitive, hate routines, and never worry about anything. I'm actually like this to an extreme that other people comment that I am too "intense". I cannot stand boring activities such as watching tv and need to constantly be active and going on an adventure of I am not satified. I do not understand why some people like to sit at home all day.

Yes I'm like that but I also have low energy so it's a weird mix. I'll fall into routines and then I'll go and do something stupid and then I'll be back in a routine. My next adventure is probably going to be sneaking out to go to a house party I heard about from a complete stranger at 2:30 in the morning in what my parents tell me is a bad area. I've had my pills tonight and they have a sedative effect but I'm still going to do it. I can't just openly not take them when my parents are around even if I plan to be out late. They'd hate me and think that I don't care about them if I did that and they'd probably hate me if they found out where I'm going tonight.

You're probably just an extrovert. You may have some ADHD-like traits, but the tendency to be constantly active, to enjoy stimulating activities, to want to be in the middle of the action--that's typical extrovert. You probably also enjoy being with people, in public areas, perhaps with large groups of people. A person can be socially clumsy and still extroverted.

Yeah, I am more extraverted than most aspies I've met. I don't mind being alone either though as long as I'm active. I've been diagnosed with adhd several times and my first test when I was 5 it said I didn't follow through with the tests and started punching the computer and wouldn't stay put so the test was inconclusive at first. I'm normally very socially outgoing but I'm often told I come off as strange, an example a lot of people use is Homer Simpson. I don't have much insight into how others perceive me which allows me to not be self conscious of what people think.

Most extraverts watch tons of TV.

He is obviously not 'just an extravert'.

But I agree that he is definelty more ADHD than aspie. ADHD'ers are the the thrill seekers.

I hope the OP finds a good outlet. Maybe he can take up a movie camera and become the next Steve Irwin (that australian guy who made all of those snake films for TV). The OP should become somekind of explorerer who does daring physical stuff.

I've gone through spurts like that, but it's not a constant. In my case it's probably more anxiety driven.

That's the way I was for most of my elementary school years. Then I rapidly gained insight around the time of grade 6 and I felt the embarrassment of everything I had done all at once. I didn't feel it at the time but once I gained insight I felt 8 years worth of embarrassment at the same time. Now I'm hyper self-conscious.

I'm like that, too. I force myself to stay at home a lot, but that makes me very anxious and intensifies my desire to escape.

I just went and took it. Here's the results

Your Aspie score: 140 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 59 of 200
You are very likely an Aspie

I do not understand the chart. Can you explain it to me?
